DogCo is founded by a team who spent a combined 35 years working with zoo animals professionally before focusing their skills on dogs. That background changes everything about how a daycare is run: how dogs are grouped, how play is supervised, how enrichment is designed, and how quickly we spot a dog who isn't quite themselves.
We're not dog lovers who decided to open a business. We're animal behaviour professionals who chose dogs.
Anyone can put a group of dogs in a yard and watch them. Here's what we do instead.
Behaviour specialists trained in animal first aid oversee every day - reading canine body language is literally our profession.
Our warehouse is split into large pens so dogs are grouped by temperament, size, energy and play style - never all thrown in together.
We're only metres from Merri Creek, where we can take dogs on outside adventures for additional exercise.
Scent work, puzzle solving, confidence building and calm-focus activities. Zoo enrichment principles, dog-sized - it engages the mind, not just the legs.
We check every dog throughout the day for signs of illness, injury or discomfort, and report any concerns to you straight away. Our team are trained in canine first aid for the additional safety of your loved ones.
Force-free positive reinforcement in everyday moments - calm behaviour, good manners, recall - not saved for a separate paid session.
Large separate pens let us group dogs properly by temperament, so play stays safe and genuinely fun.
Structured rest and decompression time away from the action, so dogs go home settled rather than wired.
A dedicated outdoor area for fresh air and toilet breaks, rotated through all day, rain or shine.
Bath, dry and other grooming services are available to daycare clients. All dogs are handled calmly in a low-stress dedicated room.
Sealed epoxy floors and sanitisable surfaces throughout, cleaned and disinfected daily and between groups.
Any dog showing signs of illness or fleas is isolated immediately and their owner called, to keep every dog safe.
We're setting up systems that will make your life easier and your dog's life better.
All dogs are required to attend an initial meet and greet welcome day as part of the registration process - this can be a full day or just a few hours, depending on you and your dog.
Our easy to use portal handles payments and bookings, so you can save time at pick ups. Staying to chat about dogs is always welcome though!
Plan ahead or drop your dog in last minute - you're welcome to do both. Either way you can see your days in the portal.
Online booking goes live when our full website launches in September.

We'll have a range of pricing options, from casual days to bulk packs, as well as memberships and half days.

Suitability comes down to temperament and comfort in a group setting, not breed. Puppies and nervous dogs welcomed with extra care.
